A day of 'acclimatising'. In other words, eating cheap local grub, such as this (pic) delicious arepa (a kind thick maize-based pancake) with a big fat chorizo and super-spicy salsa (3600 pesos, about £1.10). (The telly at the back, inevitably, is showing football: the signing of Colombian forward Falcao to Manchester United, which was headline news here.)
And drinking cheap local beer (3000 pesos). I would put up some tasting notes for all you real-ale fans out there, but this blog is for family reading.
